Lions beat Swedes in friendly

Andreas Cornelius’ deflected header earned FC Copenhagen victory over Swedish side AIK in their second friendly game in Dubai.

Cornelius redirected a Bashkim Kadrii volley into the top corner to break the deadlock just two minutes from time.

Federico Santander twice went close before half time, while Cornelius spurned a golden opening on the break.

Goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski prevented a late equaliser at the death as the Lions held on for victory.

Next up for Copenhagen is a friendly with Guangzhou Evergrande on Sonday before the squad return to Denmark ahead of the restart to the Alka Superliga season.
