Amin Chiakha signs contract extension until 2029

Amin Chiakha has put his signature on a new deal at F.C. Copenhagen which runs until 2029.

Chiakha joined F.C. Copenhagen as a 12-year-old from our cooperation club Sundby Boldklub.

Speaking of the deal, the 18-year-old said: "I am proud of the new agreement, and there can be no doubt that it gives me peace of mind, confidence and a boost too.

"I'm constantly setting myself new goals and this agreement is a clear sign that the club and the coaches believe in me and my future. I am very happy about that.

"For many years I have dreamed of playing for F.C. Copenhagen in Parken and it is fantastic that I've managed to do that within the past few months. But I have no plans to stop here. Now I have to go in and earn my minutes, help the team and continue my development.

"I have huge dreams for the future, but I also know that dreams do not come true by themselves. It takes hard work and patience.

"There will be ups and downs, but it is in those periods that I have to work on myself, get better and constantly help the team. I believe that I'll become stronger mentally in those periods.

"I know that I have only been around the first team for a short time, but I am really looking forward to scoring my first goal."

Sune: Amin has international potential
FCK sporting director Sune Smith-Nielsen has closely followed Chiakha all the way up through the FCK Talent Department and into the first team. He therefore knows the young attacker very well.

"We are happy about a new agreement with Amin, which extends far into the future. He is a skilled striker who has international potential," says Sune.

"He has performed well and has taken the right development steps during his time at FCK Talent, and now in the first-team squad. We are sure that we have a top striker for the future if he continues his hard and dedicated work."

Neestrup: Looking forward to seeing Amin unfold his potential
Chiakha has played seven games for FCK so far and, according to head coach Jacob Neestrup, many more await.

"Amin is a top young striker with a physicality that makes him a handful for many defenders already," says Neestrup.

"His future is bright. He must continue his work and wait patiently for his opportunities. There will probably be many matches and goals for him in the FCK shirt.

"Amin is a good finisher and good at linking up with his teammates in the build-up, because he can use his physique and great technique. There are definitely things that need to be improved but these are elements he works on every single day. We look forward to seeing Amin unfold his potential at F.C. Copenhagen."
