Vejle win watched by biggest Friday home crowd in 25 years

F.C. Copenhagen's 3-1 win over Vejle was watched by the Lions' biggest home crowd in Parken for a Friday night match in 25 years.

You have to go back to Friday 28 May 1999, when FCK beat Brøndby 1-0 thanks to David Nielsen's winner, to find a higher Friday attendance in Parken. A huge 37,940 fans watched the match that day.

Only once has another Parken Friday night match beaten this week's attendance. Back in August 1997 FCK faced Brøndby in another derby with 31,197 fans watching.

On both previous occasions Parken's capacity was over 40,000, which it isn't now.

FCK have played a total of 26 Friday night home games. The highest attendance in recent times had been a 25,215 crowd for a 2-1 win over OB in August 2023.
