Boilesen: Frustrating we didn't win
F.C. Copenhagen defender Nicolai Boilesen admitted the squad were frustrated at not converting Monday night's 2-2 draw with FC Nordsjælland into a victory.
Two goals from Jens Stage earned the Lions a point and keeps them third in the 3F Superliga table.
"I think we had good control of the match in the first half, but without creating any big chances," Boilesen said.
"We talked about that during the break, and our pressure was good enough, but we can't have possession just to have possession, we need to produce shots on goal with it.
"We must play much more directly. We did so in the second half, but it also meant that we opened up more, and it is therefore difficult to produce this when you are up against such fast players.
"All in all, the draw is well deserved. The game flowed back and forth in the second half and it was a bit too open for my liking. I also think we played too much on their terms and they profited from quick counter attacks.
"That we have thrown four points against FC Nordsjælland in the Championship Round is not good enough, but they have been good lately, and they are difficult to play against up here. Of course we should have won the two matches, and it's frustrating right now that we did not win today.
"Now we're looking forward to derby on Sunday against Brøndby. That's what we're focusing on now and we look forward to playing in front of our fans again. We saw how much they helped us in the match against AGF. So it's definitely going to be a great experience next weekend during a derby with fans in the stands."
