Boilesen suffers knee injury

F.C. Copenhagen defender Nicolai Boilesen has suffered a new serious knee injury that will keep him out of action for up to a year.

Boilesen was injured during the Future Cup match against Randers on Wednesday.

Reacting to the news, Jacob Neestrup said: “We all know Boile's unfortunate history with serious injuries that have put him out of action several times for long periods.

"This naturally makes it extra difficult for him, his teammates and everyone who appreciates Boile as a skilled and much-loved FCK player.

"That's why our focus right now is to support him as best we possibly can and we want to encourage everyone around the club to do the same."

Everyone at F.C. Copenhagen wishes Nicolai a speedy recovery.
