Danish Cup final returns to Parken in 2024 and 2026
The Danish Cup final will return to Parken once again in 2024 and 2026.
The cup final has been played in Denmark since 1954 when the final used to be held at Idrætsparken, the stadium that Parken replaced.
It has now been confirmed that Copenhagen will play host to two of the next three cup finals. This year F.C. Copenhagen beat AaB 1-0 in the final in Parken, in front of a sell0out crowd.
"We are happy and proud that Parken has been chosen as the stadium for the final again," says director Jacob Lauesen. "It is a great tradition and a great day of celebration for Danish football, and we will do our best to make it a good experience for both clubs and both fan groups when we get there."
Next year's final will be the 65th time that Parken or Idrætsparken has played host to the Danish Cup final. The 2024 final is scheduled for 9 May, Ascension Day.
