FCK and adidas to run health screenings for World Heart Day

F.C. Copenhagen will once again run free health screenings at the Parken Stadium fan shop on 28 September, in connection with World Heart Day.

Fans who receive a screening will also be able to print a pulse motif on this season's FCK home shirt.

The initiative follows on from the success of this summer's launch of the home shirt, where fans were given the opportunity to be screened for health problems and then receive an exclusive 'FCK For All' print on the new shirt.

The aim of the print is to remind F.C. Copenhageners about the importance of taking care of your health, and going to the doctor if you experience symptoms. Around one million Danes suffer from high blood pressure, while a third are not even aware of it.*

"When we set up this summer, we didn't quite know what to expect but it was touching to see the queue of people grow throughout the day," says Mads Jefsen, Marketing Director of F.C. Copenhagen.

"We are thrilled that so many fans took the opportunity to have an optional health screening and proudly showed off the home shirt with the special FCK FCK For All print."

Visit the FCK Fan Shop on Saturday for a screening
On 28 September, in connection with World Heart Day, there will again be booths at the FCK Fan Shop, where supporters can get a free health screening and a campaign print on the home shirt. The screenings take place from 12 noon to 3pm.

In total, 676 F.C. Copenhageners were screened at the Fan Shop over the summer, of which approximately 35 were referred to their own doctor for follow-up checks within seven days. In addition, around 140 people (20-25%) were sent to the doctor within four weeks because of results were inconclusive.

By providing this opportunity again, together with adidas, we hope to draw attention to an important issue and engage our fans. It starts by offering health screening, but also by beginning an important conversation about health.
