FCK attendance record to be toppled Sunday
F.C. Copenhagen's Superliga attendance record of 35,463 is expected to be toppled on Sunday. The Lions take on Brøndby in a crunch game in Parken, and the record attendance for a Superliga game since Parken was last redeveloped in 2009 will fall.
"We are going to beat the record," says FCK Jacob Lauesen. "The match is completely sold out, and since there is no away section for the match, we can fill more seats. Therefore, the key to setting a new record will be for as many people as possible to use their season ticket, subscription ticket or individual match ticket on Sunday.
"And if you can't come, we hope you'll pass the opportunity on to someone else."
The current Superliga record was set last year, when FCK beat AaB 3-0 to secure the 2021/22 Danish championship. The record for the Copenhagen derby since Parken was rebuilt is 33,758, set in April 2022.
"It is the biggest club match in Denmark and internationally recognised as a must-see game," adds Jacob. "We know that the atmosphere will be fantastic and the excitement is at its best, so there is every reason to be happy."
FCK face Brøndby at 4pm on Sunday, with the match being played in front of a near-full house. You can watch the game live on TV3+ in Denmark, and internationally at the FIFA Plus match centre.
