FCK extend 16-year-old Victor Froholdt's contract

F.C. Copenhagen have extended 16-year-old attacker Victor Froholdt's contract until the end of 2025.

"Victor is a tactically skilled player who is a strong runner and has great physical capacity. He has a really good mentality in terms of training, and he has a great desire to develop," says FCK development director Sune Smith-Nielsen.

"He is driven and ambitious, and in the autumn took the step from the U17 to the U19 team. In the coming years we must tale him to the next level, so that he can hopefully make the journey all the way to the first team."

Froholdt scored 11 times in the U17 league in the autumn before being promoted to the U19 team. He has already netted once in the U19 league before the winter break. Froholdt has also made five UEFA Youth League appearances.

Froholdt: Huge step for me
"Signing a new contract with FCK is huge, and something I've been working on for a long time," says Froholdt.

"I have never wanted anything else, because the training culture is in a special class at this club, and you develop every day and get better thanks to good coaches and good teammates."

Froholdt can play both centrally in midfield and on the wing, came to the danish capital as a 12-year-old from Vallensbæk, and is looking forward to spending more years in Frederiksberg.

"I was affected by injuries for almost the entire 2020/21 season and the club still supported me and helped me recover, for which I am grateful," says Froholdt.

"2022 has been a good year for me personally, in which I have developed a lot, and I look forward to continuing this in the future. First of all, I need to work on my positioning and technical skills, and I need to improve one-on-one so that I can contribute even more goals and assists."
