FCK Talent Department gets 5 Star rating from DBU
F.C. Copenhagen have been given a five-star rating for its youth development of boys within the Talent Department.
The Danish Football Association (Dansk Boldspil-Union / DBU) has today published its overview of licensed operations, with FCK receiving the top ranking in Denmark. FCK Talent scored 98.42 out of a possible 100.
"We are of course happy to be number one, because it is a nice recognition of the strategy we have been working towards in recent years," says FCK development director Sune Smith-Nielsen, who is head of F.C. Copenhagen's Talent Department.
"However, it is first and foremost a big pat on the back to the many talented employees we have at all levels in the Talent Department, who create the plans and make our strategies a reality on a daily basis.
"If I have to highlight something where we have made progress, it is on 'Productivity', where we are very satisfied to be scoring at the very top. Here, the club's current and past ability to develop players who can establish themselves at the highest senior level – and not only do well in Talent Department – is assessed objectively.
"As you can see from the results, we are still behind on Facilities, which includes those of players, managers, coaches and specialists. We knew very well that on this one point we are not among the top clubs in Europe, but as it was announced recently, there are plans to look into the possibility of improving the entire training facility."
