How players will spend time during coronavirus

In line with the ongoing development of the coronavirus situation, the Divisional Association yesterday issued further recommendations and calls for how daily life should currently be conducted in the country's league clubs.

F.C. Copenhagen welcomes these recommendations, and the sporting management team met today to make a number of decisions.

The FCK training facility is closed to team training, and our players will continue to work from home. F.C. Copenhagen, of course, follows the government's recommendations at this difficult time for society.

The task has been to find out how a professional football player can 'work from home' based on the recommendations of the health authorities and the Divisional Association.

We consider treating and rehabilitating injured players an important task that we must continue to perform at the training facility where the specific resources are available (special training machines, medical equipment, etc.).

Our players have received individual training plans that they can complete indoors or outdoors. Groups of three to four players will meet together outdoors a couple of times a week in public places and with proper distance, supported by an assigned staff member, while the club will supply them daily with workout clothes, lunches and more as required. This is done in accordance with the guidelines issued.

We only hold physical meetings when absolutely necessary and, if necessary, under the recommended restrictions.

In addition, of course, the government's social behaviour guidelines apply:

  • Avoid physical contact, including no handshakes or other physical contact with teammates
  • Pay attention to cleaning, including training equipment
  • Stay home with a fever, cough or cold and completely avoid contracting with others until you are healthy

These processes run until the coronavirus situation changes.
