Jonas Wind signs new FCK contract
Jonas Wind has signed a new contract extension at FC Copenhagen until the end of 2023.
Jonas Wind was promoted to the first team in January 2018, and a month later he made his debut away against Atlético Madrid.
After a long injury from May to November he returned to the team and scored a last-minute winning goal against Brøndby.
Ståle: A great potential
”Jonas has already reached a very high level, but we think that he has the potential to go even further in the future," says FCK manager Ståle Solbakken.
"He is a physical strong forward with good skills in the penalty box and in the relations with his teammates. However, he can still improve with different aspects, but we clearly see him as a player who is already now competing for a place in the starting XI. Furthermore, he has the advantage of knowing the club well from his years in our Talent Department.
"The new long-term deal gives us and Jonas good conditions to develop him further. We are convinced that he will be a significant player for us in the next years."
Jonas Wind has played for FCK since his youth and has scored five goals in 20 games for the first team.
Jonas: I love to play for FCK
”I love to play for FCK, and I can see myself here for many years," he said.
"I want to win titles and play in Europe with the club, which I'm enjoying to be part of. It's perfect for me with this deal, so I can fully concentrate on developing and helping the team.
"I've still got a lot of things I can do better, but there is no better place here to do it with our training culture, the staff and my teammates.
"I am challenged every day, and Ståle and the trainers have shown me great confidence. Also with this new deal. So I'm just very happy!"
