Jørgensen joins Hvidovre IF on loan
F.C. Copenhagen have loaned Thomas Jørgensen to Superliga club Hvidovre IF for the rest of the season.
"We have decided that the best thing for Thomas is football at senior level, to enable him to continue his good development, which is why he is now moving to Hvidovre for the next five months," says Peter Christiansen, sporting director of F.C. Copenhagen.
"We are sure that, under Per Frandsen's expert leadership, he will return to FCK as a stronger player this summer, as we have seen before with Marko Stamenic and most recently Orri Oskarsson."
A lot of talent and potential
FCK head coach Jacob Neestrup believes the move will help Jørgensen push for more playing time back in the capital soon.
"We have great faith in Thomas, who has a lot of talent and potential," says Neestrup. "It will be good for him to be tested at a higher level so that he can take these next steps.
"Hvidovre is a good opportunity, where Superliga minutes are within reach for him. We will keep a close eye on his development out there and look forward to having him back in the fold this summer."
In addition to being part of FCK's U19 team, Jørgensen is also a regular U19 national team player for Denmark.
