Neestrup previews Viborg: This will be a close encounter
F.C. Copenhagen head coach Jacob Neestrup says Sunday's 4pm clash with Viborg in Parken is the perfect moment to hit the restart button after the defeat to Randers.
The Lions saw a nine-game winning streak ended on Monday, but this weekend's encounter with third-placed Viborg has Neestrup gunning to get back to winning ways.
"We know that it requires a strong performance from our side and we want to get back on track after the game in Randers, which we were not satisfied with," says Neestrup.
"We have had a good week on the training pitch, and we are ready to find our rhythm again and be dominant in this match."
It is only a few weeks since FCK last faced Viborg in Parken, where the Lions won 2-1. And Neestrup is expecting another tight encounter.
"It will be close again, because Viborg are consistent in their play and performances, so we will not be given anything easy," says Neestrup.
"We are prepared for that, and we also know that we are really strong when we play as we should."
The boss has to deal with David Khocholava's recent surgery that will keep him out of action, while Marko Stamenic and Andreas Cornelius are back in the squad.
"This will be a strong F.C. Copenhagen team on Sunday that take to the Parken pitch. We also have good options from the bench and I have a lot of faith in the group of players we have," he adds.
"We are looking forward to playing in Parken again, which is a fantastic home ground for us and always gives us extra energy."
