Neestrup: 'We must play to our strengths' at FCM
Jacob Neestrup says his F.C. Copenhagen side need to deliver another "solid" performance to maintain the pace in the Superliga title race when coming up against FC Midtjylland on Friday.
The Lions have restarted the season with two wins on the bounce following the winter break. FCK and FCM both sit a point behind league leaders Brøndby.
Neestrup has overseen a 3-0 win at Silkeborg and 2-0 victory over FC Nordsjælland since the players returned.
And he is gunning for another three points on Friday.
"We have delivered two stable and solid performances so far," says the head coach.
"This has resulted in two well-deserved victories, but we are a little frustrated that we lost the initiative in the last third of the match against FC Nordsjælland. Otherwise, we have made a good start and look positively forward.
"We are now looking forward to a different match than the first two we have played.
"It will certainly be a game with a high tempo, lots of intensity and tough challenges, so we are looking forward to another top match with an intense atmosphere as there always tends to be when we face FC Midtjylland.
"As always, we must try to put our strengths into play, while at the same time we are aware of their offensive talents. Both down the middle and on the wings, where they are skilled, regardless of who they select."
The FCK away section is sold out. We encourage everyone to respect the tribute that will be paid to FC Midtjylland's Kristoffer Olsson before or during the match.
