Noah Sahsah injury update
F.C. Copenhagen's U19 winger Noah Sahsah unfortunately suffered a serious knee injury during the UEFA Youth League victory over Bayern Munich on Tuesday, which will keep him out for the next year.
The injury comes at a time when Sahsah was pushing for first-team game time. He started for FCK for the first time the previous week and scored his first goal. He has long been one of the U19s' most influential players.
"It obviously hurts everyone in the FCK Talent Department and around the first team," says FCK sporting director Peter Christiansen. "Noah is a very talented and promising player who we have long had great faith in at F.C. Copenhagen.
"That does not change. We will do everything to support him in getting back on the promising development path he was on."
Sahsah himself says he's already begun his road to recovery.
"I can't put into words how terrible it is that I won't have a ball at my feet for a while," says Sahsah.
"I had just got in really good shape and had put in some good performances. It is of course extra bitter that it happened in the middle of an exciting autumn with the UEFA Youth League, the European Championship qualifiers for the U19 national team, and the opportunity to once in a while be around the FCK first team. But I will come back even stronger."
Everyone at F.C. Copenhagen wishes Noah a speedy recovery.
