Parken set fra Fælledparken

Security advice and directions for FCK vs Dortmund

Champions League football returns to the Parken for one last time this autumn when F.C. Copenhagen take on Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday at 9pm.

At the time of writing, there are still seats available for FCK fans in the A Stand. However, Sektion 12 and the C Stand are now sold out.

Ticket sales are still conditional on you having previously bought tickets for F.C. Copenhagen's home games via billet.fck.dk. This is one of many safety measures in place to ensure the safety and security of all fans.

As usual, the away team for Champions League games handles their own ticket sales. Approximately 1,800-1,900 Dortmund fans will be at the game. For this match, Dortmund have chosen to sell only to members, and those tickets must be personalised with a name to maximise security.

Safety first
"The police have long been aware of the security conditions surrounding the match in Copenhagen," says security chief Jan Lindhardt.

"In close cooperation with the authorities, we have done everything we can to make it safe to come to Parken on Wednesday. The Youth League match at Østerbro Stadium, on the other hand, will be played without spectators, as we did not have the opportunity to create a safe environment there.

"Dortmund fans have the entire D Stand to themselves, but only the middle block will be in use.

"Outside the ground we are establishing the same security zones as for the derby with Brøndby, so it is not possible to gain access to the ground via the cycle path and footpath in front of the Traffic Playground, which connects Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads with Øster Alle.

"The appeal to all FCK fans is that, as for the derby, to please arrive as much as possible via Øster Alle, where we also have the usual Fan Village in front of the C Stand from 7pm. It is not open after the match, where we encourage all FCK fans to leave Parken again via Øster Alle.

"However, FCK fans can still arrive from Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads and enter the A and B stands via the road between the gravel parking lot and Østerbro Stadium. The "separation" between fans first takes place at Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads, where Dortmund fans must go via the pedestrian and cycle path past the Traffic Playground, while FCK fans must go via Per Henrik Lings Alle and past Sparta Hallen.

"As I said, we are trying our best to create a safe environment in and around the stadium, and of course there will also be a lot of police in the area around Parken."
