Ståle: It's been a great autumn
FC Copenhagen manager Ståle Solbakken was glad the Lions saw out 2018 with an emphatic win on Sunday.
FCK beat Sønderjyske 3-0 away, with Robert Skov scoring all three goals.
"Looking over the game as a whole, it was a good performance, and Robert's three goals speak for themselves," said Ståle after the victory in Haderslev.
"Sønderjyske knew that we had played Thursday evening so they came at us 200km an hour and pushed us hard.
"But we were still on the offensive and got the early breakthrough, while keeping up the pressure. But defensively we lost too many duels and were a bit too slack before the break.
"Our early goal for 1-0, of course, gave a little peace of mind. But with 2-0 the game was definitely settled and we performed well in the second half."
Ståle was also all-praise for FCK's performances over the autumn leg of the Danish season.
"Zeca returned another strong performance. He has been very good here in the last part of the season," Ståle added.
"But although it was not all that worked today, it has been a very strong autumn, the highlight of course were the two Atalanta matches.
"But I'm also very pleased that the team has performed so highly in the Superliga in the autumn, despite also having the six late Thursday games in Europe.
"So it's been great for the players and all around the team that managed to keep them sharp."
