Ståle: A surprising win over Astana

FC Copenhagen manager Ståle Solbakken admits the 4-0 friendly win over Astana came as a surprise.

The Lions beaten Astana thanks to goals from Rasmus Falk, Dame N'Doye, Pieros Sotiriou and U19 player Ahmed Daghim.

"We were almost surprisingly good!" Ståle said after the convincing performance against the multiple champions from Kazakhstan.

"In relation to the fact that we haven't trained so much yet, it was very nice today, I just have to say that.

"And that applies to both halves. We could have scored one or two goals already before the break, and even though substitutions were made on both teams during the second half, it was a very well-executed battle from everyone against a team that has done well in the Europa League.

"There were good moves on the pitch, and what we have focused on for training, we got done on the pitch."

FCK's next friendly match is on Wednesday against Swedish side Örebro, and as usual a lot of changes will be made from the first match.
