F.C. Copenhagen sign Martin Pušić
F.C. Copenhagen have signed a contract for the rest of the season with Austrian forward Martin Pušić. Lately he has been on loan from FC Midtjylland at Sparta Rotterdam.
”After Federico Santander’s injury we had to find another forward, and this means that we will have an extra forward in the spring. We know Pušić well from his time in Esbjerg and FC Midtjylland, and he is a proven goalscorer in the Superliga,” says Ståle Solbakken.
”We have also seen his games in Holland, when he performed well when he was on loan. Now he will need some time to get started, but we look forward to working with him."
Martin Pušić, 29, spoke to FCK.dk about the move.
”It’s a great opportunity for me. It will be the biggest club I have played for in my career, and I look forward to being at a club who wants to win the Championship every year and also play in Europe," he said.
”Of course I know the Danish Superliga, and I know my own qualities. F.C. Copenhagen play an offensive kind of football, which suits me well. I’m eager to prove that FCK are right to bring me to the club, and I will help the team as much as possible in every single game and give everything I have – starting with my first training session."
The Austrian/Croatian forward will play with no. 23, and he will train with his new teammates for the first time on Saturday at 10.30am.
