Atlético Madrid awaits in UEFA Europa League
F.C. Copenhagen will face Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Europa League round of 32.
The first leg in Telia Parken will be played at 21:05 on Thursday, 15th of February.
The return leg in the Spanish capital will kick off at 19:00 on Thursday, 22nd of February.
FCK manager Ståle Solbakken said: "It's harder to get a team in the draw better than Atlético Madrid, one of Europe's strongest teams.
“However, we saw in our Champions League qualifying campaign, Qarabag beat us over two rounds, so nothing is of course impossible, but it will be very difficult.
“It could be good that we start at home, because had we started away then there would be a risk that the tie would all be over before the return match.
“Now, we must try to keep it alive over two matches, and we are looking forward to welcoming a full house to Telia Parken.”
F.C. Copenhagen captain William Kvist said: “They are a crazily strong opponent but we also know that we are a difficult side.
“We have a strong European tradition at home in Copenhagen and we are looking forward to the challenge that is expected.”
More info regarding tickets to the games will be made public on Tuesday here at FCK.DK and on our social media platforms.
