F.C. Copenhagen sign Kenan Kodro
F.C. Copenhagen have signed striker Kenan Kodro on a four-year contract.
The Bosnia international played for the Real Sociedad academy before joining Osusana in La Liga. Later he joined Mainz 05 and went on loan to Grasshoppers, where he had great success this spring.
"Kodro is a very exciting striker, who combines a strong physique with a very good technique and a fine understanding of the game," says manager Ståle Solbakken.
"He is a dangerous and active goalscorer, and we think he will fit into our style of playing. We also think that he can develop to a very high level, so we see good potential in him.
"In spite of his young age, he has played in strong leagues like La Liga and the German Bundesliga, and he also made a strong impression in the Swiss Super League."
Kenan Kodro, son of former striker Meho Kodro, is looking forward to getting started at FCK.
"The move to F.C. Copenhagen is clearly a step up in my career, and it's the right step for me. It is the greatest club in Scandinavia and known in Europe as a strong team," says Kodro.
"I have had good talks with the people at the club, and I am convinced that it will be a good match both on and off the pitch.
"I will do everything to help the club and make the fans proud by winning titles and achieving European success, and I'm convinced that the club has a great future."
Kodro has already joined F.C. Copenhagen's training camp in Austria.
