FC Copenhagen statement on homophobia
FC Copenhagen would like to make it absolutely clear we do not tolerate any form of homophobia or other discrimination.
Unfortunately in Sunday's match against OB homophobic insults were directed at Viktor Fischer.
FCK back Viktor and other players' statements following the match in making it clear homophobia will not be tolerated.
After Sunday's game we evaluated the situation and passed on our observations to OB to assist them in their internal investigation into the case.
We know that no-one at Odense Boldklub - just like us - will accept homophobia. We therefore would rather put our energy into a solution to this issue rather than reporting against the club.
We will also engage in dialogue with our own fans and encourage all clubs and other stakeholders in Danish football to partake in a concrete discussion on this issue, so that no-one will hear such insults at Danish football stadiums or anywhere else.
