Zeca: Focus on Monday
F.C. Copenhagen captain Carlos Zeca watched from the sidelines as the Lions progressed to the UEFA Europa League last-32 on Thursday night.
And while FCK lost to Malmö 1-0 in Telia Parken, Zeca was delighted the team qualified to the knockout stage.
"I think both players and fans had a strange feeling after the Malmö match," he said.
"On one hand we lost and on the other we progressed from the group, which was our goal and ambition and a great achievement we should all be proud of."
FCK take on OB at 19:00 on Monday night in Telia Parken - the last 3F Superliga game of the year before the winter break.
"We are still in all three tournaments and now we have to prove to ourselves and the fans that we are able to handle it in the final match of the year on Monday," Zeca added.
"We have had many ups and downs this autumn, but we have struggled through and now we would like to end the year with a good performance and a good result.
"It's important for everyone in and around the club, and I'm sure we will all give everything we have for the win. It has a big impact on how we prepare for the spring and on our chances of winning the championship.
"The championship is still our biggest goal of the season and the OB match is very important to fulfil that. We've had some time to clear our heads after Thursday's game, so now all our focus is set on winning on Monday."
