Zeca: We're ready to match Celtic
F.C Copenhagen’s UEFA Europa League clash with Celtic on Thursday is a sell-out in Telia Parken.
And FCK’s Carlos Zeca is looking forward to the fierce atmosphere expected for the last-32 battle.
“It's always very special when we play big European matches in a full stadium,” says Zeca.
“The fans always create amazing energy that we can use on the field, and that will be important to us on Thursday. I'm really looking forward to being part of that fight.”
On Scottish champions Celtic, Zeca added: “They are a really strong team that is very dominant in their league, and they’ve been really good in the Europa League this season.
“We know it will be difficult and close. It's a battle that's going to last 180 minutes, and we have to keep our chances alive all the way.
“We have to be smart and keep cool heads on the pitch, even if it is an intense atmosphere in both matches. We always go for the win at home in Copenhagen, but we also know that it can be crucial that we keep them from scoring, so we have to balance things all the time. 0-0 may prove to be a good result, but that is not what we are going for.
“We know it's going to be tough on Thursday, but we play at home and we need to use the power our fans give us. I think it will be a great experience for everyone, both players and fans, and we will do everything we can to move forward together. It takes a big performance from everyone, but that's what we're after.”
