Ståle: We must lift ourselves out of this situation
F.C. Copenhagen manager Ståle Solbakken says the team have the responsibility to seeing off a late charge for second place by AGF.
FCK welcome AGF to Telia Parken on Sunday for a crunch 3F Superliga clash with just four games remaining.
The Lions currently sit two points above their third-placed opposition and Ståle is keen to remain in second.
"We have put ourselves in this situation, and therefore of course we must also bring ourselves out of it," he said.
"Of course, this requires that we perform over all 90 minutes, and not just during periods of the match. It's about results at FCK, and not just good periods in matches, and we must secure second place by starting with a win on Sunday over AGF.
"The good thing about football is that there is always a new match around the corner where you can deliver better, and I can actually feel in the players that they are looking forward to a better performance. We can look forward with excitement for Sunday."
FCK host AGF on Sunday exactly a year since the visitors last graced the turf of Telia Parken. The Lions secured a 2-1 win that day in only the second match round of the 2019/20 season.
And Ståle is hoping for a repeat outcome this weekend.
"We have analysed the last couple of matches and I think we have dominated most of them we have played, with the exception of the match against Brøndby," he said.
"But we need to put it together throughout the match, and then we have to be more dangerous on the last third of the pitch.
"If we do not have the power and physique for it, we must make sure to be able to play faster and thus create chances that way. Of course, we work with that on the training ground, and I have seen an ambitious squad who is working hard to improve the things we are missing.
"So I expect that we are stronger on Sunday against a strong and very direct AGF team."
