Alexander Hjælmhof joins Hellerup IK
F.C. Copenhagen have sold Alexander Hjælmhof to Danish Second Division side HIK with immediate effect.
Hjælmhof, 19, joined the first-team squad via FCK's talent department in August and has made his debut in the Danish Cup in November against Avarta.
"We have been really happy to have Alexander at the club, and he certainly has the potential to go far with his career," says William Kvist.
"But right now he is too far from playing in the first team for it to be optimal for him to continue at FCK. Now he gets the opportunity to develop in a good setup at HIK, which has a really strong environment for young players like him.
"We wish him all the best at HIK and will of course follow his development in the future."
Hjælmhof himself is looking forward forward to trying his hand at senior football with HIK.
"I have had a really good time at FCK and in the talent department, so it is special for me to change club, but HIK is a good step for me and I am sure that the best thing for my development is to play matches at a senior level," he said.
"I have the opportunity to do that at HIK, if I do well. I am very proud that I made my debut in Parken and I take away a lot of good experiences, relationships and education from FCK."
Everyone at FCK wishes Alexander all the best in the future and thanks him for his efforts for the club.
