Mudražija joins HNK Rijeka on loan
F.C. Copenhagen have agreed to send Robert Mudražija on loan to Croatian side HNK Rijeka for the next 18 months.
Mudražija joined FCK in January 2019 from NK Osijek, but his stay in Copenhagen has been badly affected by injuries.
"Robert has had an unsteady time with us due to many injuries and interruptions, and therefore it has been difficult for him to really establish himself in relation to playing continuously," says William Kvist.
"A player his age needs that if he is to unleash his potential, and therefore we see a loan move to a league he knows well as a good option for him. Here he will get the games he needs and we will follow his development. He is definitely a talented player and we hope, of course, that the stay at Rijeka and a lot of matches can help give him the boost he needs."
Mudražija himself is also looking forward to restarting his career in his home country.
"It has not gone as I had hoped at FCK so far, where I have had too many injuries, and therefore have not had the time on the training ground and in matches that I had wanted in terms of developing my game," he says.
"Now I look forward to heading back to Croatia and getting a fresh start at a good club, and I will give everything there is to get a lot of matches and experience, and then we have to see what the future brings."
