Bøving: I can challenge on either wing
F.C. Copenhagen youngster William Bøving started his third game of the season in Sunday's 4-0 win over Vejle, and said after the game that he is happy playing on either flank.
Bøving, who has also just had a call-up to Denmark's U21 team, started on the left flank on Sunday, with left-back Victor Kristiansen behind him.
The Lions claimed a comfortable three points and Bøving was delighted to get the job done ahead of the international break.
"It was a very steady match, where we got off to a good start and settled into the game right away," Bøving said. "We got two early goals in the first half, but we continued to dominate afterwards too.
"They changed a bit during the break, so in the second half there were a lot of long balls, second balls and physical contests, but we resisted that well and managed to keep the match on our terms and also score twice more.
"I moved over to the left wing this time, but it didn't change that much compared to when I'm on the right. I still get to challenge opponents with my speed and runs, but I can of course cut in from the left and use my right foot. I also know Victor well from our years in the FCK Talent Department."
Striker Jonas Wind played the full 90 minutes up front and was instrumental in the fourth goal of the afternoon, when Jens Stage finished off after a mistaken clearance from the home defence.
"I am really happy with both the game and the result today," said Wind. "I can hardly remember a time while I've been in the team where we've dominated so much from start to finish.
"They only had a couple of long shots, but otherwise nothing, while we just kept running all the time. We have a really strong attacking unit with many options, and especially Pep's goal for the second was right out of the training ground."
