Who FCK could face in Conference League last-16

F.C. Copenhagen will compete in the last-16 of the UEFA Europa Conference League next March after a successful group stage.

The Lions topped Group F with five wins from six outings against the PAOK, Slovan Bratislava and Lincoln Red Imps.

Topping the group means FCK avoid a knockout playoff round that involves runners-up from the group stage and the third-placed teams dropping down from the Europa League.

Jess Thorup's men will only know their opponents for the two-legged last-16 contest on 10 and 17 March when UEFA conducts the draw on 25 February.

Here are the teams guaranteed to be in the last-16 pot:

• F.C. Copenhagen
• AZ Alkmaar
• FC Basel
• Feyenoord
• Ghent
• LASK Linz
• Rennes
• AS Roma

As group winners we will be seeded and play at home in the second leg. It means a date in Parken is already in the diary for Thursday 17 March.

Potential opponents
FCK will face one of eight unseeded teams in the last-16. However, we won't know who they are until the play-off knockout round has been played.

The 16 teams in that round feature:

• Eight runners-up in the Conference League group stage – Bodø/Glimt, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, PAOK FC, FK Partizan, Qarabag FK, Randers FC and Slavia Prague
• Eight third-placed teams from the Europa League group stage – Celtic, Fenerbahce, Leicester, Marseille, FC Midtjylland, PSV, Rapid Wien and Sparta Prague

Teams from the same nation cannot draw each other in the last-16, so FCK won't meet Randers FC or FC Midtjylland, if they progress to this stage.
