Babacar: I've known FCK for years thanks to N'Doye
New F.C. Copenhagen signing Khouma Babacar says he is well aware of the expectations set at the club, having tracked former striker and compatriot Dame N'Doye's progress in Denmark.
Babacar has joined FCK from Sassuolo until the summer of 2025, having most recently been out on loan at Turkish side Alanyaspor.
He has previously played with N'Doye – FCK's all-time top scorer – in the Senegalese national set-up.
And Babacar is aware of what to expect when he enters the pitch in Parken.
"Of course I've known this club for years, because I know Dame N'Doye," says Babacar. "He's my big brother, I know him well and I've played with him in the national team.
"Already here I've seen pictures of N'Doye everywhere. I'm happy to see this because he's my big brother, and it's a sign. This won't be easy but I will do my best."

Babacar scored 39 goals in 166 appearances in Serie A, and also boasts a strong scoring record in the UEFA Europa League.
Asked by FCKTV what the fans can expect from the new forward, Babacar says: "Normally with fans, because you're a striker they expect you to get goals. I want to and like to score. That's my job and I want the support of the fans and the team.
"I chose this club because it's a big team, and I need this for my career. The expectation here is very high – the team is young and the performances are high. I'm here to do my best both for me and the club."
