Neestrup: Fans can help us in the cup
F.C. Copenhagen head coach Jacob Neestrup says his players must be focused when they take on Vejle in the Danish Cup quarter-final first leg on Wednesday, in order to fulfil the club's ambitions.
"We play to win trophies at F.C. Copenhagen and it has been far too long since we won the cup, so it is a big goal for us this spring," says Neestrup.
"We know that it requires all our focus, and therefore it's all about getting a win against Vejle, so we can go to them with a good starting position in the return leg.
"It means a lot to us that as many people as possible come to Parken, to deliver an atmosphere which will lift everyone.
"Vejle are a Superliga team in the First Division, and the table shows that. They have a fine mix of experience and talent, and look like a team that is well prepared for matches. They always deserve our respect."
FCK fans can still buy tickets for Wednesday's game, while newcomers to Parken and visitors in Copenhagen can also secure their seat for the game, with tickets available online.
The 8pm kick off comes just three days after FCK secured a 1-0 win against AaB in front of more than 31,000 supporters.
Discussing that match, Neestrup says: "I am very satisfied with the way we executed the last home game against AaB, and I have an expectation that we can reach that same level tomorrow."
