Christian Sørensen out for up to six weeks
F.C. Copenhagen's Christian Sørensen had a scan today following an injury picked up against OB on Sunday. The scan results show the defender will likely be out for between four and six weeks.
Sørensen will have an operation on Wednesday and will undergo a period of recovery, before returning to the training pitch.
"It is of course a pity for Christian, who has done really well for us, but we expect to get him back on the pitch relatively soon, so it could certainly have been worse," says FCK head coach Jacob Neestrup.
"Until he is ready again, we have shown for a long time that we have strong alternatives when we have been hit by injuries. The same is the case here."
Sørensen himself says: "It's really fun to play football at the moment and both the team and I are doing well, so it's sad.
"Having said that, I had feared that it was worse, so now I'm itching to get back quickly so that I can contribute in a lot of games for the rest of the spring."
Everyone at FCK would like to wish Christian a speedy recovery.
