Diks sets out goals for the autumn
Kevin Diks says he's happy to be getting more minutes under his belt at F.C. Copenhagen this early in the season as the team prepares for tonight's clash at Hvidovre.
Diks has played all but one half (against Breidablik) this term and has helped the Lions begin the Superliga season with a 100 percent record from four outings. The team is also into the UEFA Champions League playoff stage, but Diks says the focus remains on Friday's encounter with Hvidovre.
"Personally, I feel good at the moment and I'm happy with the amount of minutes I've had so far, whether it's been as a full-back or a centre-back," says Diks.
"I'm in good shape at the moment and just have to work on maintaining that momentum.
"We have had two good days of recovery after returning from Prague and the opportunity to prepare our bodies before the Hvidovre match. It's been really important after 120 hard minutes, but we are ready again both physically and mentally – we must be at a club like ours.
"It was a great relief to progress (in the Champions League) on Tuesday, but we have been able to separate ourselves from the Prague match and are focused on Hvidovre. It does not matter if we play Champions League qualification games or the Superliga, because the goal is to win our football matches.
"We are in a good flow at the moment and we are still undefeated. Of course it is something we all want to continue, but we are taking it one game at a time.
Big goals for the autumn
"I'm taking it one week at a time, but in short you can say that my mission for the autumn is to win as many matches as possible, get into the Champions League group stage – and play as many minutes as possible," concludes Kevin Diks.
Hvidovre vs F.C. Copenhagen kicks off at 7pm on Friday and can be watched live on 6 / discovery+.
