Let's show F.C. Copenhagen's class again
When F.C. Copenhagen visited Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League two weeks ago, it was just after they had lost one of the club's greatest legends, Sir Bobby Charlton.
He was paid tribute in a beautiful way by the club itself, and also by the many F.C. Copenhageners who had traveled to England to support the Lions.
It showed real clash, the way F.C. Copenhagen fans showed their respect for Sir Bobby and Manchester United, with a well-written banner with the text "Passion is what separates the good from the great" and joined in with chanting.
This act has given deserved recognition to our fans internationally - including from Manchester United themselves, who have sent an official letter in which they highlight the behaviour and the respect our fans showed that night with these words: "The F.C. Copenhagen fans showed what Sir Bobby himself believed in. That football can be a strong and positive force.”
That's the way we want to present ourselves as a club and a culture, that's the class that makes us proud and our special fans.
Tonight we are once again faced with a huge European evening in Parken, where the whole world will be watching. We know that our support will again be second to none and at the highest level. The call from here is this: Let's once again show the world the class of F.C. Copenhageners. Tonight and beyond.
Good game to all.
Forza FC.
