FCK sign Norwegian youngster Liam West
F.C. Copenhagen's Talent Department have signed Norwegian youngster Liam West. He will begin his career at FCK on 1 January 2024.
West turns 16 this month and joins the Lions having played for Fredrikstad FK in his home country.
"Liam is a really exciting left-footed attacking player who can do his job both in the middle and on the wing," says FCK Talent's Head of Scouting & Recruitment, Mikkel Lund Køhler.
"He is technically skilled, but also has great physical and tactical potential. At the same time, he is an ambitious young player who is always focused on getting even better, and we look forward to helping him with that in the coming years.
"We are very pleased to have brought another top Nordic talent to the club."
The young Norwegian, who has an American father, says he is looking forward to the challenge in Denmark.
"F.C. Copenhagen are a fantastically good and big club that I am proud to play for, and I am looking forward to starting at FCK Talent," says West.
"It is a big step for me, but at the same time it is the right place to develop for an offensive and creative player like me. And I'm looking forward to moving to Copenhagen and hopefully playing lots of good matches and learning a lot."
West will join FCK Talent's U17 squad from the new year and has represented the Norwegian youth national teams at both U15 and U16 level.
