Peter Ankersen to leave FCK at end of season

Peter Ankersen will leave F.C. Copenhagen at the end of the season when his contract expires.

"Peter leave a fantastic legacy at the club, with a lot of trophies and European experiences," says Peter Christiansen.

"We know he will be professional until the end and do everything he can for the team and the club to win the championship again. Now is not the time for a big farewell, because we have an important piece of work ahead of us, but Peter will of course have a well-deserved and celebrated farewell when we finish."

Ankersen himself said: "It is no secret that I would have liked to continue at FCK after the summer, but I accept that the club has decided to go in another direction. Now, for me, it's all about helping the team as much as possible and finishing strongly so that we can win the championship this summer."

Ankersen, 33, has currently played 275 games for FCK.
