F.C. Copenhagen and adidas to create bespoke Women's shirt and collection

F.C. Copenhagen and adidas have struck an agreement that will see the newly-formed women's side wear a bespoke shirt for the 2024/25 season separate to the men's home shirt.

The birth of F.C. Copenhagen Women means the club and adidas are strengthening their partnership over the summer, with a wider collection of sportswear also being developed.

Contrary how to how most clubs with men's and women's teams operate, F.C. Copenhagen Women will get their own shirt and their own sponsor when the right agreement is in place.

The agreement with adidas ensures a strong platform for the women when they take to the field for the first game in August.

"We are very happy with the new agreement and adidas' support for women's football," says F.C. Copenhagen's commercial director, Mikkel Grove Lindsted.

"The agreement means F.C. Copenhagen's women's team can get off to the best start imaginable, with a strong brand behind them. Again, we can state that we are very attractive for major international brands to collaborate with, and we are delighted that adidas - like us - sees great opportunities in women's football in Copenhagen.

"We have a great desire to offer everyone the opportunity to wear the F.C. Copenhagen logo in different ways. We must be relevant to everyone, and with this agreement we are a big step closer to that."

adidas joining our journey
Nordic Sports Marketing Director at adidas, Elin Sundell Nilsson, believes that there is great potential for women's football in Copenhagen.

"F.C. Copenhagen's women's team can be of great importance to Danish women's football, and now begins a journey that we are very proud to be part of," he says. "For adidas, it is extremely important to invest in women's football, which is why we are very happy about this agreement with F.C. Copenhagen."

The agreement runs until the summer of 2028 and applies to both matchday kits, training and leisure wear. The new playing jersey will be presented during the summer, while the entire collection will arrive later in the year.
