Onugkha reflects on FCK debut
German Onugkha made his F.C. Copenhagen debut in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at FC Midtjylland and, for a brief period, thought he had scored on his first appearance in an FCK shirt.
As it happened, the goal was ruled out for offside, but we caught up with Onugkha after the game to discuss the game.
“It means a lot to me, but I'm not satisfied because we didn't get any points. So I'm happy about my debut, but not that we lost," said Onugkha.
"I was upset when I saw it was offside, because otherwise it would have been 2-0, and at the time I thought it was our game. But they canceled it, so of course I was disappointed.
"It makes no sense to reflect on my game right now because we have lost. We have to analyse the game and then I have to talk to the coaches back at home about it in a few days, but right now I can't think about my performance because we lost.”
"I'm looking forward to the next match (at home vs AaB). For us it's important now just to win game after game, three points, three points, three points… and of course I want to play at home in front of the fans in a great stadium and take the three points."
