Victor Froholdt selected for Denmark

F.C. Copenhagen midfielder Victor Froholdt has been named in the Denmark squad ahead of this month's crunch ties against Portugal in the UEFA Nations League.

Froholdt, 19, has played in every one of F.C. Copenhagen's matches this spring and has so far made 46 appearances for the Lions.

The young midfielder has already been capped 29 times across Denmark's various youth teams.

Denmark host Portugal in Parken on Thursday 20 March, and then travel to Lisbon for a showdown on Sunday 23 March.

Discussing his selection, Froholdt said: "I don't know what to say… I don't think it's sunk in yet, it's huge and I'm really looking forward to it.

"I'm not that old yet and I thought it would happen later in my career. It wasn't something I expected to happen right now!

"It's going to be amazing to represent Denmark at the highest level, and it's now up to me to prove that I can stay at this level."
