Chiakha: 'Nothing compares' to FCK debut

F.C. Copenhagen's latest debutant Amin Chiakha played 15 minutes at the end of Monday's 2-0 win over Lyngby.

FCK.dk caught up with the 18-year-old to reflect on the day, after Orri Óskarsson and Mohamed Elyounoussi secured three points for the Lions.

"Yeah, there's really nothing that compares to this," said Chiakha. "It hasn't really dawned on me yet, where I still have adrenaline in my body, but when I go to bed tonight, it will probably dawn on me.

"They (Lyngby) created a few chances at the end, but we could have also scored and I could have also been a bit more decisive, but then… I think it's deserved that we got the win and we'll just go on from there."

Chiakha was promoted to the FCK first team from the U19s this summer alongside Oliver Højer and was delighted with finally being able to wear the FCK shirt in a Superliga game.

"You don't get to think so much when you go on the field, you think about it more when warm up on the touchline than when you actually step on the pitch. You don't really think about anything there, you're just focused," he said, before we asked if he knew in advance that he would come on as a substitute.

"No, not as such, but it was a bit up in the air in relation to the fact that we have many games, and Orri and I are the only No 9s right now. So it wasn't agreed, but I'm happy that Nees felt that I could have an impact on the game."

Next up for FCK is a trip to Gibraltar on Thursday for our UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying first leg. Chiakha could also get minutes here but he's not getting ahead of himself.

"I don't really know much about them (FCB Magpies), but I have read a little bit about how the club was created. Hopefully I'll get a few more minutes there, and then we'll just take it one step at a time - and hopefully I'll be playing in Parken one day."
