Audi becomes main partner for F.C. Copenhagen Women
F.C. Copenhagen are pleased to announce that Audi will become our main partner for our women's team. In doing so, Audi will contribute to the team's development and to increasing interest in football for girls and women.
The two-year agreement also means FCK Women players will wear the Audi logo will appear on their shorts for the first game of the spring playoffs against Aalborg Freja on Saturday 5 April.
"F.C. Copenhagen has had a good and fruitful collaboration with Audi since 2012, and we are very pleased that another of the club's long-standing partners is getting involved in the development of our women's team and, in doing so, are contributing to increasing interest in football for girls and women," says commercial director Mikkel Grove Lindsted.
"Audi is a strong, international brand and we see a great value in their choice to support our women's team. It means a lot to F.C. Copenhagen and the women's team to have strong partners who are committed to our long-term vision and want to make a difference. We are very excited that we will be collaborating with Audi on the women's team and women's football in Denmark."
Rikke Hamilton, director of Audi Denmark, is also looking forward to the expanded collaboration.
"When we recently extended our partnership with F.C. Copenhagen, which has been running since 2012, it was only natural for us to build and become the main partner for F.C. Copenhagen Women," says Rikke.
"It is an important signal that we support women on exactly the same terms as we support men. And we believe that with the new agreement we can help strengthen the position of girls and women in the world of sports, which is so incredibly important, as we know what good things the sports community can do for everyone who wants to be a part of it.
"In addition, we also see huge commercial potential in the agreement and in F.C. Copenhagen Women, which has been made into one of the country's most high-profile sports teams with huge sporting potential in record time.
"We hope that with this agreement we can help pave the way for current and future girls and women in the world of sports, who deserve to be seen and treated on an equal footing with everyone else."
