F.C. Copenhagen and Andel join forces to provide more energy to Danish women's football

F.C. Copenhagen are proud to announce Andel, Denmark's leading energy group, as FCK Women’s new Main Partner in a five-year agreement. The groundbreaking collaboration aims to sharpen the focus on Danish women's football and improve the opportunities for girls and women in the sport.

Andel is a cooperative society whose aim is to provide vital infrastructure and future-proof energy solutions in Denmark.

The new partnership will see Andel become FCK Women’s new front-of-shirt sponsor. Both parties will use their social status to drive positive societal development, with the aim of delivering genuine impact across the country at a time when women’s football is growing.

Rikke Trikker, communications director at Andel, says:

"All children and young people deserve to grow up in a world with equal opportunities – and that’s true on the football field too. But change does not happen by itself.

"Change requires courageous role models who dare to lead the way, break boundaries and inspire others to follow. This applies both in sport and in the green transition. In a short time, F.C. Copenhagen’s lionesses have created new idols and shown thousands of girls and women that they belong in the football community.

"With this partnership, we are taking a decisive step to strengthen women's football, open the doors to even more people and build strong communities – both on and off the pitch."

The two parties will, over the next five years, develop a number of initiatives together that will help open up the world of football to even more women and girls.

F.C. Copenhagen Women have their own unique platform that is different in many ways from the men's team, and therefore it is important for F.C. Copenhagen to also welcome new partners around the women's team.

"We are very excited to announce this partnership," says F.C. Copenhagen's commercial director, Mikkel Grove Lindsted.

"With Andel, a significant boost of energy is being brought into the work we’re doing around F.C. Copenhagen's women's team and the ambitions to create a real breakthrough for women's football in Denmark. We are very excited to welcome Andel to the club."

Andel will be on view on the front of FCK Women’s' shirts at the first home match of the spring – the cup quarterfinal against Aalborg Freja – on 8 March at Vanløse Idrætspark.

Strategic energy partnership with FCK and Parken
At the same time as the Main Partnership for F.C. Copenhagen Women, Andel has entered into an energy partnership with FCK and Parken. Both parties will use their social position to drive positive social change, which can have a wide reach thanks to football’s prominence in Denmark.
