Juan Martinez replaces Martin Vingaard at FCK Talent

Juan Martinez Hayek has been appointed the new U19 Player Development Coach at FCK Talent.

Juan replaces Martin Vingaard, who has started his new job as Hillerød First Team coach today.

Juan, from Ecuador, joined the Talent Department last summer after spending a number of years in Europe.

FCK sports director Sune Smith-Nielsen says: "We are happy to give Juan a bigger role on the U19 team, where he can help further develop our international style.

"Juan is a really talented coach with experience from several places in the world, and he brings some relevant skills to play, especially in terms of coaching individual players."

The sports director also sends a big thank you to Martin Vingaard.

“It has been a pleasure to have Martin with us, and he has worked hard during his five years at FCK Talent," says Sune. "It has been great to see him develop in our environment and we wish him all the best at Hillerød."

Martin had been with FCK Talent for five years, and before that played 141 matches for the Lions. His last match with the U19 team came on Saturday against Vejle.

“It's a big moment for me to end my work at F.C. Copenhagen, because the club means so much to me and has helped shape me as a person - first as a player and then as a coach," says Martin.

"I have been a part of F.C. Copenhagen for almost 10 years and I am very proud of that.

“I have received a fantastic coaching education at FCK Talent, and a big thank you to both past and present players, staff and colleagues for all the good experiences.

"Now I am delighted that I have been given the opportunity to take the next step at Hillerød. It will undoubtedly be exciting, and of course I only say 'see you again'."
