FCK earn 1-1 draw at AGF
Jacob Neestrup says he accepts taking a point from Aarhus on Sunday was the minimum he could have hoped for as F.C. Copenhagen settled for a draw against AGF.
Pantelis Hatzidiakos put the visitors in front just two minutes into the match but Henrik Dalsgaard levelled the scores for AGF early in the second half.
"Of course we would have liked to have won and I think we had the chances to do so, but a point is always better than nothing," said Neestrup afterwards.
"I think it was a completely even game until the middle of the second half, when AGF were the best for the rest of the game. We had a hard time getting out of their pressure, but when we succeeded, we created good chances – just like we did before the break. But they also had a lot of chances throughout the game and could also have won if Theo Sander hadn't made several big saves.
"In isolation, I can therefore easily fairly live with a draw here, just as I could at Brøndby when we have beaten both them and AGF at home. I wasn't upset about the 1-1 draw against Betis either, but it's games like the one on Monday against Silkeborg and on Thursday against Basaksehir that really hurt when we draw.
"But I am happy that we have become difficult to beat and that we have found stability so that we aren't losing too many games. We should, though, have won some of the games that we drew.
"Now there is an international break, and afterwards we have two home games in the Superliga, which we have to win, and as I said the other day, we have to win two out of the last three games in the Conference League to play in Europe after the New Year. And we also need to knock out Kolding in the quarter-finals of the cup."
