Oscar Buur: It's great to be back

F.C. Copenhagen goalkeeper Oscar Buur says he's enjoying being back on the training pitch after recovering from a hand injury suffered in January.

The 18-year-old required surgery for the issue three months ago but is now able to train again with the rest of FCK's keepers.

“It’s great," says Burr. "Training is what you want to do when you're out and have to watch. It’s just a pleasure to be able to do what I love again.

“It’s been especially difficult because I was in a good period of form and then got this injury. On the other hand I’ve learned a lot about my body and what it takes to come back.

"It's a stronger and hungrier Buur who has come back and I'm ready to fight for the places, because I'm eager to show what I can do and why I got the trust I did during the winter break."

Buur played half of the first training match of the year against Lyngby and one of FCK's two training matches against Viborg, which is when he suffered the injury. He then played a one-hour match, but it was later determined that it was a more serious injury.

"Now I hope that I can quickly get back up to speed and maybe play some U19 matches," he adds. "It's just about working hard in training and showing that I can make a difference in the first-team squad again."

Buur extended his FCK contract in November until the end of 2027.
