2006 legends return for Man Utd game

F.C. Copenhagen will welcome back members of the 2006 Champions League squad on Wednesday to pay tribute to the team that earned the famous 1-0 victory over Manchester United in Parken Stadium.

FCK once again play host to Manchester United on Wednesday in the fourth Group A game of this season's UEFA Champions League campaign.

Members of the 2006 squad have been invited to watch the match together and salute the crowd before kick off.

The win in 2006 helped define F.C. Copenhagen as a regular competitor in European football. It boosted the club's identity and fuelled its ambitions. Since then FCK have played in a European group stage in 16 of the last 18 seasons.

We look forward to welcoming the likes of Marcus Allbäck, Atiba Hutchinson, Brede Hangeland, Jesper Christiansen and many more to Parken on Wednesday.

It is therefore important that fans arrive in good time to see our former players. The game kicks off at 9pm but celebrations will commence from around 8:30pm.
