Carlos Zeca on breaking F.C. Copenhagen record
Carlos Zeca has spoken of his pride at breaking the record for the number of F.C. Copenhagen appearances as club captain.
The Greece international passed Thomas Delaney's record of 110 games before the winter break and told the FCK podcast of his desire to deliver more success to the Danish capital.
"For me, it's great to be the captain with the most games at a club like FCK, and to reach the same number as Thomas Delaney," Zeca said.
"I know everyone loves him and he's a great player and I know what he means in the club. I've talked to him a few times when he's visited us in the locker room and he's a nice guy and a good player.
"I'm happy to write history with him and I'm also very happy about the record because as a foreigner I've had so many games as captain."
Zeca extended his FCK contract in November 2019 until the summer of 2023, so he has plenty of time to expand his record in the coming years.
But the midfielder admits there are other honours he would rather have.
"The records I want to break are to win as many titles as possible," he said.
"That's why I came to FCK, because it's a club with history that has also won the most times.
"This year is my fourth season, and I only have one title, so it's far below what I expected of myself and my team. So that's my goal! "
