F.C. Copenhagen 4-3 Manchester United
F.C. Copenhagen came from two goals down to beat Manchester United 4-3 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night to secure one of the most memorable victories in the history of Danish football.
Roony Bardghji struck home with three minutes left of the 90 to send a sold-out Parken into raptures.
United had led 2-0 in the first half via a double from Rasmus Højlund – yet the Lions drew level before the break thanks to Mohamed Elyounoussi and Diogo Gonçalves' penalty, after Marcus Rashford was sent off.
The visitors took the lead again in the second half when Bruno Fernandes scored from the spot after Lukas Lerager had been pulled up for handball.
But the Danish champions kept on fighting and deservedly made it 3-3 when Lerager latched on to a dream Rasmus Falk cross to convert from close range.
The game looked to be heading to a draw as FCK pushed for a late winner, and remarkably it came via Roony's boot. The 17-year-old product of the FCK Talent Department expertly volleyed home before celebrating with his jubilant teammates.
The win puts FCK second in Group A on four points, ahead of Galatasaray courtesy of a single goal. United, meanwhile, sit bottom on three points.
