Larsson previews AIK friendly
New F.C. Copenhagen signing Jordan Larsson played for Swedish side AIK for three months last spring, and he is looking forward to tonight's friendly clash with the Stockholm club.
Speaking to the FCK podcast, the new arrival says: "There are people at the club who have been there for a long time and who are passionate about the club. It is one of the biggest in Sweden, if not the biggest, so it is a good club.
"I didn't have Andreas Brännström (as my head coach), but I've heard very good things about him and that he wants to play football, so it will be a good test for us. And it's clear that if I'm going to play, then it will be fun to face my old teammates.
"As I said, I had a different coach when I was there, but we played a lot of possession football and we were very solid defensively. I think they want to play 3-5-2 and want to play a lot of football, and I think they are also quite sharp on the counter. But it will be interesting to see how it is with the new coach.
"I hope they do well at home in Sweden, because of course I still have a little bit of AIK in my heart. Yet when we play against them it's obvious we have to win."
Larsson played a full 90 minutes in the friendly against Viking and took another step in developing his relationships with his new teammates.
"My start here has felt good. Everyone has welcomed me, and I already feel like part of the group," he adds.
"On the pitch, it's still about building relationships and getting to know each other, and that comes with time, the more we play together. But right now it feels good, and it can only get better."
FCK vs AIK kicks off at 8:30pm (Danish time) on Friday in Portugal.
